Regents Crescent
I have worked successfully with Kefo on two occasions over the past few years, on two very different projects, both of which they completed in a timely and professional manner to a high standard of workmanship.
The first was the internal upgrading of two 1960’s residential blocks in Marylebone comprising some 92 separate flats. The ‘Grade 1 listed’ major construction project, at Park Crescent West, involved Kefo installing a full Timber roof framework and Welsh slate finish to the entire Crescent, internal finishes and the construction of the Mews CLT modular building, for which I was the Partner at PDP London Architects, leading the Design Team.
Kefo’s brief was to upgrade all the apartment doors to achieve the necessary fire rating and carry out internal alterations, installing new ceilings, repairs, decoration and service upgrade to all the common lobbies and corridors, while all residents remained in occupation. A delicate logistical and public relations task in addition to the building works.
The second completely different project involved the major structural alteration and repair of a large ‘farmhouse’ in the Buckinghamshire countryside near Gerrards Cross and the conversion of a stand-alone double garage building into a two-storey self-contained apartment for the owner’s elderly parents. Kefo worked closely with us and the structural engineer (Buro Happold) to correct dubious earlier structural alterations in the house, form new rooms, insulate and generally update and extend all the services and completely redecorate and trim the house to a very high standard of finish under the demanding direction of interior designers, Millier London.
The end result for both parts of the project was impressive and delighted the Client.
I found Colin easy to work with, with his straight forward and pro-active approach and have no hesitation in recommending him and the Kefo Construction team.
